Acupuncture is a system of healing that originated in China over 3000 years ago and has since been adopted and developed in many parts of the world.  Acupuncture involves the insertion of fine needles into specific locations on the body known as acupuncture points.  These points lie on a complex system of energy channels throughout the body. Insertion of needles stimulates the body’s energy or ‘Qi’ to rebalance the body, boost the immune system, and aid its natural healing response.

While considered a useful tool in pain management, it is also effective in the treatment of a wide range of illnesses. Insertion of the needles is virtually painless and the sensation has been described as tingling. Following treatment people find it easier to relax and experience deeper more restful sleep. Acupuncture is part of the Chinese medicine healing system and works very well with Herbal Medicine and other associated therapies.

Chiropractic - a hands-on healthcare discipline that specialises in the diagnosis, treatment and management of conditions affecting the spine, joints, muscles and nerves in the body. It emphasises the inherent power of the body to heal itself using skilled, precise chiropractic manipulative techniques, manual therapy and soft tissue techniques.
