Akasha Classic

Akasha Classic is rooted in Hatha yoga, the traditional style that forms the foundation of all yoga practices. Hatha, meaning sun and moon, focuses on an alignment-based approach where poses are moved into slowly and held for longer periods. Akasha Classic is suitable for everyone, regardless of age or experience. It’s an excellent introduction to yoga and provides a continual challenge, helping you to get in shape, maintain your fitness, and develop balance, flexibility, and coordination. This practice renews, invigorates, and heals the body by stretching and toning muscles.

Akasha Flow

Akasha Flow is a traditional Vinyasa Flow yoga class, where movement is synchronised with breath. In Vinyasa, “movement with breath” means that each pose flows seamlessly into the next, guided by your breath. This class offers a dynamic sequence of yoga poses that will strengthen and stretch your entire body. Suitable for all levels, Akasha Flow provides a full-body workout that revitalises both your body and mind, leaving you feeling energised and balanced.

Akasha Power

Akasha Power takes your practice to a new level, where you’ll feel your body work hard and your mind stay focused and determined. This strong yoga class is designed to challenge you physically and mentally, pushing your limits and helping you achieve real results. Whether you’re looking to build strength, improve endurance, or sharpen your focus, Akasha Power offers an intense and rewarding experience that will leave you feeling empowered.

Akasha Hot Flow

Akasha Hot Flow combines flowing Vinyasa sequencing with the added benefits of heat, designed to develop strength, flexibility, and balance. In Vinyasa, movement is synchronised with breath, helping to relax the mind and release energy blockages. The heat enhances the practice, promoting detoxification and making you sweat! Be prepared to sweat, tone your entire body, and cleanse your soul. This transformative class works on all levels—physically, mentally, and spiritually—leaving you feeling rejuvenated and revitalised.

Akasha Hot Etiquette

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience in our heated classes, please follow these guidelines:

Arrive on Time: Punctuality is crucial, especially in a heated environment. We cannot allow late-comers once the class has started. If you’re new to Akasha, please arrive 10 minutes early for your first session to complete registration.

Hydrate Properly: Arrive well-hydrated and bring a water bottle to class. It’s essential to replace fluids lost through sweating. Avoid diuretics like tea, coffee, and alcohol before class. Remember to re-hydrate after class as well.

Eat Light: Avoid heavy meals less than 2 hours before class. Digestion can divert blood from your muscles, affecting your practice.

Bring a Towel: Sweating is expected in a hot class, so please bring a towel to protect the mats and maintain hygiene. You can bring your own or rent a mat towel from reception for £1 (free for your first session).

Listen to Your Body: If you feel ill, dizzy, or faint, drink water and rest. If you need to leave the room, please do so between postures and return when appropriate.

Communicate: Inform your teacher of any injuries or changes in your health before class begins.

Have Fun: Yoga is about finding balance. Respect your body and its limits, and enjoy your practice!

Following these guidelines will help you make the most of your Akasha Hot class. Namaste!
